Description

The South Wolds Academy and Sixth Form is a high attaining, semi-rural, popular school located in the village of Keyworth in Nottinghamshire which is a 10 minute drive from West Bridgford.  We are also a founding partner of the East Midlands Education Trust, committed to providing a first class education for all of our students.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, well organised and highly motivated individual to take on the role of Art, Design & Technology Technician at The South Wolds Academy.

The successful candidate will need experience of working with a variety of materials in workshop conditions, using appropriate equipment and machinery. Previous experience in a resistant materials or engineering background would be desirable, but not essential.

The role involves working across the whole Art & Design Faculty so applicants should be flexible, enjoy a varied day and be able to support all aspects of an Art, Design and Technology department. They also need to have a good rapport with children.

In return, we offer candidates the chance to work in a friendly, supportive community with happy, well-behaved students who enjoy learning. Our Academy is characterised by committed, capable staff who work collectively on behalf of students.

Further information and application forms are available on our Trust website, https://www.emet.uk.com/vacancies

Completed application forms should be returned to recruitment@emet.uk.com

Please note, that we are unable to accept CVs for this post.

South Wolds is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
