East Midlands Education Trust is a growing trust currently with 18 schools which represent the full educational age range of 3 – 19 plus an alternative education provider. 

Our relatively new Central Services Team are now seeking to appoint a Finance Officer to provide high quality financial administrative support to the Trust’s Central Finance Team.

This key role is for those who like a busy working environment, and enjoy undertaking a wide range of duties and develop strong relationships with key personnel in schools across the Trust and within the Team.

The successful candidate will be hard working, organised, flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to work proactively either independently or within the team, with the ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient Finance Administration systems. 

You will be required to prepare monthly control account reconciliations including input of journals into the Trust’s financial system, PS Financials, in accordance with financial procedures and month end deadlines. You will also be required to oversee the Trust’s cashless payments systems, including the weekly reconciliation.

In return, you will receive 24 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and will have access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Holiday entitlement rises to 29 days and 32 days after 5 and 10 years of service respectively.
