The South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form is seeking to fill the position of ICT Technician.
You will support the ICT Network Manager in ensuring the effective day-to-day operations of all computing facilities within our busy secondary school.
You will need to have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade 5 or above and a further education qualification in a relevant subject. Practical computing experience of at least one year is also desirable.
This is a full-time position working 8.30am to 4.30pm (Mon to Thurs) and 8.30am – 4.00pm (Friday) and is offered on an all year round basis.
Previous experience in a school environment is not essential but good IT skills are. You must also be able to offer excellent customer service to staff and student users and be willing to be part of the wider school team, undertaking additional tasks as necessary. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to health and safety and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Finally, you must be a good communicator, like working with young people and always willing to help your team when the unexpected happens.
