Do you like variety, young people and working as part of a fantastic team? If the answer is yes then this role might be for you.

The South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form is seeking to fill the position of Site Assistant.

As part of a four-person team, you will support the Site Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the school site. This will include security, maintenance, porterage and general site services.

This is a full-time position working from either 6.30am – 2.30pm or 11.15am - 7.15pm, Monday to Friday. This will rotate on a fortnightly basis.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to health and safety and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. This role involves a lot of walking around, lifting, sometimes ladder climbing and occasional squeezing under a sink to fix it, so you need to be physically able.

We will train you in the site-specific aspects of the job such as boilers, fire alarms and health and safety checks, you just need to bring a willingness to learn. Finally, you must be a good communicator, like working with young people and always willing to help your team when the unexpected happens.

The School looks to employ well-qualified staff who are willing to contribute to the full life of the school and who are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process.

We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
