The Ripley Academy is an 11-18 school located in Derbyshire close to Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield and within easy reach of the Peak District. We are a member of the East Midlands Education Trust and work in close partnership with the other academies within the Trust including The West Bridgford School and John Flamsteed Community School. In February 2020, the school was judged to be an Ofsted ‘Good’ school in all areas.

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Science who is able to teach across the age and ability range Year 7 to Year 13.

We welcome applications from scientists who feel they have the ability, enthusiasm and commitment to enhance the lives of students at our Academy; someone who has a true passion for science as well as the drive and determination to make a significant, positive impact on our students ensuring all achieve their full potential. This post will be suitable for both experienced teachers or ECTs as support is available within the department.

Our school is a happy, thriving school where the Headteacher is completely committed to raising teaching standards and outcomes for the students of this Academy.
