Part Time Teacher of French and Spanish

0.8 full time equivalent.  Fixed Term contract for 12 months

Starting 1st September 2020

Modern Foreign Languages are at the centre of our curriculum provision.  Students study two languages (from French, German and Spanish) in Key Stage 3 and all students are able to study these languages at GCSE and A-Level.  There is a strong tradition of enrichment opportunities within the Languages curriculum, including a long established exchange programme with our partner school in Germany.

This is an opportunity to join our outstanding, high performing, Modern Foreign Languages Team.   We are looking for someone who can teach French at KS3 and KS4; the ability to teach Spanish at KS3 would also be an advantage. The post is 0.8 full time equivalent on a fixed term contract for 12 months.  There may be the opportunity for this to move to a permanent contract in the future with the agreement of the school and the successful candidate.  However, we would also encourage you to apply if:

  • You are a newly or recently qualified teacher looking for a full-time post
  • You are interested in a part time contract but want something less than 0.8 full-time equivalent
  • You are available for a maternity cover from September 2020
