The pandemic has impacted on student’s attendance at secondary schools across the country.  This has happened at a time when attendance is crucial for students whose education has been severely disrupted as a result of school closures and absences for public health reasons.  Some families have lost the good routines that they had in placed to help their children attend school regularly.  Improving attendance following the pandemic is a national priority and South Wolds is determined to put in place the support that these children and families need to improve attendance.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and tenacious Attendance and Family Liaison Officer who will lead on our work on improving attendance across Year 7 to 11.  The post holder will work as part of the Student Support team focussing on maximising the attendance of students across the school.  The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting students so that they attend school regularly.  This post includes liaising with a range of external agencies to support the pupils in our care and ensuring that all statutory protocols around attendance are followed.
